
According to Arabic literature the Vikings sailing the Mediterranean always used to bring barrels of Rubus chamaemorus berries, rich in polyphenolic substances, on board to fight scurvy.
Birch sap is obtained every spring carving Betula pendula and Betula verrucosa trees in a thousand-years-old forests. Rubus chamaemorus berries are harversted at the end of summer in the woods of Northern Finland.
This beverage is produced in Northern Finland according to rules of ancient heritage, joining two types of plants: Rubus chamaemorus berry and Birch lymph.
