Allium Sativum - Fam. Liliaceae

Plant originary from Southern Asia, grown for the bulbs used in cooking. Garlic presents both bactericidal and bacteriostatic antibacterial properties. Furthermore, it has an antiplatelet aggregation effect. Since able to reduce cholesterol and tryglicerides and to lower arterial pressure, it is an aid in initial forms of arteriosclerosis and in hypertension prevention.

The drug is composed of the bulb.
